RESEARCH ON THE INHERITANCE AND INNOVATION OF CHINESE TRADITIONAL AESTHETIC THOUGHT IN COLLEGE ART EDUCATION

In the constantly changing environment of global art education, the necessity of combiningtraditional cultural values with contemporary artistic practices has become more apparent. Chinese classical aesthetic thinking, which is based on thousands of years of philosophical studyand creative progress, provides a rich tapestry of notions that can significantly improve collegestudents' comprehension and appreciation of art. In the framework of college art education, thisstudy investigates the creativity and influence of traditional Chinese aesthetic concept. It investigates how ancient Chinese ideas and artistic practices can be incorporated into traditional educational frameworks to help students develop a greater respect for cultural heritage. This research examines the aesthetic concepts of traditional Chinese painting, including balance, harmony, and interrelationship between nature and people, to determine their applicabilityincontemporary art education. To assess the aesthetic education and its potential for innovation, theinvestigation incorporates approaches, including program assessment with teachers and students. Findings suggest that incorporating traditional aesthetic principles not only enriches students' artistic practice but also enhances their critical thinking and cultural identity. The study concludes curriculum development that promotes a synthesis of traditional and modern artisticapproaches, encouraging a holistic understanding of art education.
