DISSEMINATION OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE PAINTING CULTURAL HERITAGE BASED ON DIGITAL DYNAMIC PICTURE BOOKS AS A MEDIUM

Abstract

Traditional Chinese painting based on digital dynamic picture books has aroused the public's strong interest in traditional art and enhanced people's sense of cultural identity and pride imperceptibly. However, digital dynamic picture books with traditional painting culture as the theme tend to be gamified, sensationalized and made prone to entertainment, which may shorten the aesthetic distance between the audience and the works and reduce the reflective nature of artistic works. In order to broaden the application path of traditional Chinese painting in the digital field, this study analyzes the current situation of traditional Chinese painting and characteristics of digital dynamic picture books, and systematically expounds the feasibility of the integration of the two. The study also examines the creative practice results of traditional Chinese painting cultural heritage based on digital dynamic picture books. The findings suggest that digital painting, as an efficient communication medium, successfully breaks the limitations of traditional static exhibitions and presents the essence of traditional Chinese painting to the public in a vivid and intuitive way through modern dynamic picture books. Future research needs to further study the problems in the creation of dynamic picture books at three levels viz., design, culture and consumption, and explore how to promote the dynamic picture books to new media platforms, and study the commercial value of derivative products.
